Threadless’s Keep Growing
Keep Growing by ninhol is my favorite Threadless print this week. Thin lines in bright colors drew me in, with vibrant shades and contrasting darks that felt like the best parts of neon and graffiti, distilled into something more minimal and perfectly wearable. The subject matter is a wonderful fit for this fresh, clean style, combining great achievements in science with images of the natural world. In this piece, a rocket ship is held aloft by a strand of DNA, and leafy plants sprout from test tubes. Even the border feeds the theme, resembling electric circuits. It’s a piece that seems to say that science, nature and art are all the same thing, and looking at this it’s hard to disagree!
Threadless prints new shirts every week, chosen from the designs submitted by and voted on by site members. Most winners earn $1 to $7 per item sold.
