Pampling’s All Hail Coffee
All Hail Coffee by Momma_Gorilla positions a cup of coffee as a deal with the devil, and that’s a really fun and punchy concept. The headline sells coffee as a deity to be worshiped, while the supporting text lends a bit of menace- “sleep when you’re dead” has a different feeling when a demon from hell is staring you down. This particular demon has four arms, and each one of them is busy cradling a coffee vessel from a flimsy to-go cup to a thick mug. He keeps them warm over some very dramatically dripping red candles with wild flames, which looks properly cursed. And I should also call attention to the excellent illustrative detail in this piece- I love the thin pink highlights that help the demon to glow, and the subtlety of the wings that backdrop the entire scene. It’s really great work!
