Teetonic’s T in the Park WInner

Teetonic‘s T in the Park winner is Botanica Rockenrolla by Zipperking. It’s definitely a solid concept, and a step above the usual special competition winners at the site. The rock and roll hand gesture is nicely capped off with a tiny bird perched on top, which is a cool detail. I also like that the T of the festival’s name is done up to look like a manicured bush, which is a nice completion of the theme. My only wish is that the rest of the text was better matched to the idea- dotting the I with a flower is a nice start in that direction, but I’d like to see more done to unite the two portions. Overall though, it’s very nice work.

Teetonic’s T in the Park Contest

Teetonic is looking for a shirt designer who can design a great official shirt for T in the Park (a festival featuring the likes of Rage Against the Machine, REM, Chemical Brothers and more). Enter before May 30th for your chance to win 2 weekend camping tickets to T in the Park, a two man tent, two sleeping bags, two roll mats, 100 pounds in Teetonic vouchers, and 5 shirts of the winning design.

Teetonic’s Chillax Competition

Teetonic and NHS Highland are teaming up for one of the most ambitious t-shirt design contests I’ve ever seen. The goal? To make an attractive, catchy and entertaining shirt about sensible drinking.

It’s a tough order, for sure, but the designer that does it best will be handsomely rewarded, to the tune of an iPhone, a 100 pound voucher to Teetonic, and six shirts with your design.

Enter before February 17th for your chance to win.

Teetonic’s Scotland Collection Winner

Teetonic has announced a winner in the Tennent’s Scotland Collection contest: Scotland’s 12th Man by tartansparkle. I think it’s a good choice, as this design is clear and iconic. I think the text is fairly unnecessary, though, and if it needed to be present it should have been treated differently. Still, even this text treatment is vastly superior to the text this design was subbed with, so perhaps I shouldn’t complain.

Teetonic’s Wet Wet Wet Contest Winner

Teetonic has announced the winner of their competition to design a shirt for the band Wet Wet Wet: Timeless by mallie.

It’s not a bad shirt, per say, but it seems a little generic. Very much a typical concert shirt. Contests like this are the reason Threadless stays on top of the competition- in a Threadless contest, the goal is to create a great shirt based on a theme. Teetonic seems to be looking for someone to PhotoShop a picture of a band. Neither is inherently superior, as plans go, but only one of those strategies attracts innovative artists.
