La Fraise’s Le Penseur

La Fraise finds the humor in art history with Le Penseur by Massala.K. I like the way the very formal, dour style of the statue drawing contrasts with the brightness and silliness of the Rubicks cube. It reverses expectations to think that instead of pondering the big issues, this guy has just been wasting his efforts on a silly game (and, I think, makes it even easier to relate to). I’m not crazy about how it sits on the shirt, since it just sort of floats in the center, but the idea is enough to make it fairly wearable regardless.

Winners at La Fraise earn 1000€ when their work is chosen to print. New designs are chosen weekly.
