Threadless’s Shell Nature
Shell Nature by Coffee_man is my favorite Threadless print this week. I love the way it uses each of the shell’s segments to show a moment in time, letting the ocean scene cover the break of day until the dead of night. On the left, a whale tale points to the sea’s wildness. In the center, a lighthouse stands tall and bright. And on the right, a boat shows us the reason for that lighthouse, using it as a beacon to stay safe on a dark night of rough waters. It’s a very complete story, and also a visually beautiful one- watching the sky’s tone change from warm red to cool blue looks great and engages the viewer (especially with those mirrored clouds adding balance). Great stuff!
