Threadless’s Biker
Biker by alfbocreative is my favorite Threadless print this week. It’s a fun piece that collages the face of a deer onto the body of a dapper bicyclist, all housed in a collection of arranged geometric shapes. The way the largest triangle cuts off is interesting, because the upper border strikes right at the level where deer neck replaces human. This choice highlights the deer and the hot pink circle backing him creates an otherworldly vibe, like a vision of distant planets. Another smart choice is the rainbow spectrum of orange, mustard, and teal emerging from the bike’s headlight, which instantly creates the sense of motion in this otherwise static scene. Small bits of text, line, and stamping add interest and contribute to the vintage look. All in all, it’s a very wearable and unique-looking tee!
