Pampling’s Bass Guitar

Bass Guitar by Efless is a music shirt that uses text to communicate its message. I like the way it chooses one very distinctive part of the instrument to focus on, and then uses that shape as a frame to contain its wording. The main slogan uses size to ensure it is read first, and each word is treated in a unique, decorative way that encourages the viewer to keep exploring. But that’s not all- each tuning peg has a supporting message, drawn in a style that reflects the theme of its message. So the “manly” peg has bulky capitals, while the “sexy” peg uses smooth cursive. Slight distressing gives the design a worn, weathered feel that reflects its rock ‘n roll roots.
