Monsieur Poulet’s Loup Loup

Loup Loup by Amandine Meyer is one of the coolest shirt designs I’ve seen in awhile. What speaks to me about this piece is the abundance of color and the frantic, crowded environment it creates. Each strange plant feels like imagination blossoming, and it’s all made even better by the strange, cartoony human-like figure who frolics within the chaos. With his little hat and large spoon, he’s already a bit of an odd character even before you spot what looks like a tail peeking from between blades of grass. This design feels like a page torn out of an especially eccentric children’s picture book, carrying that vibe of adventure and exploration. I suspect it’s the kind of artwork that has so much going on you’re still discovering new things in the illustration after you’ve worn the shirt many times. And how great are those soaring birds at the top? They add some height to the design, and the uneven nature of the top of the art helps the cropped bottom and sides to communicate vastness just out of eyeshot.

Winners at Monsieur Poulet earn 2 Euros per item sold, for a total of up to 2000 Euros.
