Shirt.Woot’s Year in Review derby voting highlights

Shirt.Woot‘s Year in Review derby offered a unique challenge for artists, asking them to design shirts that represent the year in some way. Since this year was marked by bad news for many, a lot of the shirts focus on themes like dark humor and female empowerment. Here’s a look at two current voting underdogs that I’d like to see get some more attention…

Fake News! by astrobat takes the phrase in a wacky direction with this dunking cyborg Godzilla. Wouldn’t it be great if this was really the kind of thing fake news meant?

great job holywood by mekazoo cleverly repurposes the 20th Century Fox logo to use its pomp and bombast to mock the meh feeling of realizing that big, new, expensive movie is just another rehash.

This derby continues through Thursday at noon. The top three vote-getters will each earn $1000 cash and $2 per item sold. Additionally, other designs will be selected and sold for $2 per item each. Both top vote-getters and selected designs will be sold in a future Plus sale.
