Spoonflower’s Create Room DreamBox design challenge

Spoonflower has teamed up with Create Room for the Create Room design challenge, giving artists the chance to make wallpaper patterns that enhance the interiors of Create Room’s elaborate crafting armoire, the DreamBox. Here’s what they’re looking for…

Create Room is on a mission to help people create room in their lives for more joy and fulfillment through creativity, starting with a dedicated workspace. The pattern you create should not only provide visual joy, but should inspire both you and others to create more. As you design, be sure to ask yourself the question, “What would I love to look at everyday while creating?” If your design catches the eye of the Create Room team, you could become the new owner of your very own DreamBox!

Before you start, get to know Create Room, the DreamBox and how the Spoonflower team used Peel-and-Stick Wallpaper to dress up our DreamBox on the blog.

Enter before December 1st, 2020 at 3PM EST for your chance to win. One first place winner will earn a Create Room DreamBox ($2,199 value) and $500 in Spoonflower credit. 2nd place will receive a $500 Create Room gift card and a $250 Spoonflower credit. 3rd place gets a $500 Create Room gift card and a $125 Spoonflower credit. 4th through 7th place get a $500 Create Room gift card and $75 in Spoonflower credit. 8th through 10th place get $20 Spoonflower credit.

Spoonflower’s Nugget Couch design challenge

I don’t stray from t-shirt design contests very often, but spotted this competition recently and thought it would suit the skills of many t-shirt designers, especially those with young kids…

Spoonflower, a site specializing in custom-printed fabric, has launched a new Nugget Couch design challenge. These kid-sized couches are made of several modular pieces to encourage children to create their own forts, structures, and reading nooks, so they’re looking for non-directional geometric patterns with bright, color blocked shapes to help inspire kids creativity. There is an 8 color limit for this contest.

Enter before March 17th, 2020 for your chance to win. Public voting will determine the top 50 entries. One Grand Prize winner will earn a $500 cash prize (which also serves as the licensing fee to be featured on a Nugget Couch), a Nugget Couch featuring their winning design, and $200 in Spoonflower credit. The Second Place winner will receive $100 in Spoonflower credit and a $229 Nugget gift card. Third place will earn $50 in Spoonflower credit and a $50 Nugget gift card. The rest of the top ten will each get $20 Spoonflower credit.
