Shirt.Woot’s Summer Staycation derby voting highlights

Shirt.Woot’s Summer Staycation derby explored all the great (and not-so-great) things about a vacation spent at home. It’s a timely concept, and artists were more than up for the challenge. Here’s a look at two current voting underdogs that I’d like to see get some more attention…

Best Couch of the Year by jimmytan makes the indoors mobile with a retro truck, but the soft color scheme (and pets!) are what really make it speak to the heart.

Ignore the Great Outdoors… There’s No Wifi! by zerobriant does an excellent job of pairing its illustrative style and text style, making for a really cohesive result.

This derby continues through Monday at 8pm. The top three designs (determined by votes and editor input) will earn $1000 cash and $2 per item sold. Additionally, other designs may be selected for future plus sales and sold for $2 per item each.

Shirt.Woot’s The Blues derby voting highlights

Shirt.Woot‘s The Blues derby kept the theme fairly loose, allowing artists to interpret the concept however they saw fit from the color, to the music style, or even the mood. Here’s a look at two current voting underdogs that I think could use some more attention…

Create Yourself by Gammaray85 spices up an great minimal concept with an invigorating gradient.

Sacre Blue by olipop centers around a delightfully French character using one of the silliest swears language has to offer.

This derby continues through Monday at 8pm. The top three designs (determined by votes and editor input) will earn $1000 cash and $2 per item sold. Additionally, other designs may be selected for future plus sales and sold for $2 per item each.

Shirt.Woot Derby #763: The Blues

Color inspires Shirt.Woot‘s latest derby theme…

Starting Monday at 8PM: Derby #763: The Blues

Any interpretation you like. Pop Culture is allowed, but no cats, no butterflies. If you feature a giraffe, you must feature a zebra. If you feature a saxophone, you must not depict a guitar in the same design. If you feature the ocean, your design must contain an orange starfish. If you feature a microphone, Nina Simone’s name must be hidden in your design.

No politics, no cream shirts.

This derby begins Monday at 8pm CST and continues through the following Monday at 8pm. Three designs (determined by votes and editor input) will be printed as daily offers on Tuesday through Thursday and earn $1000 and $2 per item sold after the first day of sales. Other designs may be selected for a Plus sale, with each selected design earning $2 per item sold.

Shirt.Woot’s Superhero Day Jobs derby voting highlights

Shirt.Woot‘s Superhero Day Jobs derby was almost two subjects in one, with some artists drawing superheroes in ordinary moments while others tackled the heroic occupations of real people. There’s a lot of humor and appeal in both approaches, but these are the two current voting underdogs that I think could use some more attention…

Dual Career by BoggsNicolas nails the determined expression on the face of its feline protagonist.

Real Life Superheroes are the Frontline by zerobriant is chock-full of some excellent lettering.

This derby continues through Monday at 8pm. The top three designs (determined by votes and editor input) will earn $1000 cash and $2 per item sold. Additionally, other designs may be selected for future plus sales and sold for $2 per item each.

Heroes come in many forms for Shirt.Woot‘s latest derby theme…

Starting Monday at 8PM: Derby #762: Superhero Day Jobs

Superhero’s doing their day jobs, or day jobs that require superheros to do them. You could also take a slightly different tact and show superhero’s on their day’s off.

Shirt.Woot’s The Letter N derby voting highlights

Shirt.Woot‘s The Letter N derby encompasses just about everything under the sun that starts with N, with the exception of pop culture references. Without popular staples like movies and logos out of bounds, narwhals, naps, and no were the sudden subject matter stars this week. Here’s a look at two current derby voting underdogs that I think could use some more attention…

I Care For Noodles by krisren28 uses an Asian-style red sun as its lead character, cradling some artfully arranged ramen. I like the way the curls of noodles start to read as a pattern.

No Problem by jimmytan makes an octopus an eclectic multitasker, cooking and doing chores as he listens to music and surfs the web. The limited color palette helps the pink creature feel like the most important element of a busy scene.

This derby continues through Monday at 8pm. The top three designs (determined by votes and editor input) will earn $1000 cash and $2 per item sold. Additionally, other designs may be selected for future plus sales and sold for $2 per item each.
